Earlier this month, YouthAction NI had the pleasure of welcoming three amazing teams of volunteers from GEDA, NI Water Solutions, and B&Q, who generously donated their time and resources to making CSN a brightand welcoming space for young people.
Firstly, GEDA & NI Water Solutions teamed up to tackle The Rainbow Factory Studio Theatre. The black box theatre was looking a little...blue!
In just two days, they transformed the space into aprofessional studio space, which will be used by hundreds of young people asthey build confidence, grow in leadership, and learn to shine - on and off thestage.
The next week, Margaret and her amazing team from B&Q Sprucefield - the same team behind the Radio Room, which welcomes its first cohort of aspiring broadcasters this week - were joined by Tarragh and her team from B&Q Newtownabbey.
Together, they were unstoppable!
In just one day, our reception received a much-needed facelift (enter iconic purple pillar!), the dressing rooms were made fit for purpose, and the drab and dull Green Room has been affectionately renamed the Purple Room.
These outstanding contributions will directly support our work championing creativity, amplifying youth voice and creating opportunities for young people to thrive.
Our building, celebrating its 20th year, is being transformed into a bright and joyful space - a reflection of the world we strive to create as we light the way to a brighter future for young people in Northern Ireland.
The best birthday present ever.
