The Community Youth Work Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) is a two-year part-time NSETS endorsed programme, leading to a recognised JNC professional qualification in youth work. Students can choose to enrol for an additional year to attain a master's qualification in Community Youth Work.
Attendance is one day each week at Ulster University’s Derry~Londonderry Campus. Students complete a total of 450 hours of assessed practice, 300 hours of which are based within the student’s current community youth work employment or volunteering.

• Active involvement in youth work in the past 6 months.
• Working 10-16 hrs per week in a paid or voluntary youth work role.
• Have GCSE English grade C or above (or equivalent)

Note that the principle of admission to postgraduate programmes is based on the premise that students shall hold a degree or equivalent qualification. In exceptional circumstances, a portfolio of written evidence outlining significant community youth work experience may be considered as an alternative entrance route.
