About the role
The Senior Administrator – Life and Work Skills will play a key role in the design and implementation of Excel spreadsheets and databases used for OCNNI awarding body recording and reporting (registration and certification) and preparation of reports and monitoring data for the Local Growth Fund. Working closely with the Senior Leader – Life and Work Skills and team, the Senior Administrator will ensure robust systems are in place to meet the needs of the organisation. As part of the wider admin team, they will also be responsible for coordinating and overseeing smooth administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implementation and maintenance of Databases and Spreadsheets for participant data and monitoring relating to OCNNI training
• Design, implementation and maintenance of Databases and Spreadsheets for Local Growth Fund and reporting for claims.
• Administrative support to Senior Leader – Life and Work Skills
• Administrative Support to wider Life and Work Skills Team
• Point of contact for new trainees.
• Administrative point of contact for OCNNI awarding body.
• Coordination of smooth administrative operations within the wider admin team.
• Any other administrative duties that are required for smooth operations.
NOTE:
• All staff should contribute to and participate in fund-raising events.
• All staff must attend in-service training when required.
Essential Criteria
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
• At least 3 years’ experience in an administrative role.
• Proven skills and experience in the design, implementation and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets and databases with an emphasis on attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proven ability to work on own initiative.
• Proven ability to work under pressure.
• Proven ability to be flexible, adaptable and open-minded.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria
• 5 years’ experience in an administrative role.
• Experience of working in the voluntary sector.
• An affinity with the vision and mission of YouthAction NI.
