About the role

The Finance Assistant will support the Finance Manager and Finance Team in the day-to-day financial operations of YouthAction NI in their Headquarters, College Square North (CSN) Belfast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance as part of the Finance Team.
  • Prepare and send out invoices.
  • Maintain Financial spreadsheets.
  • Prepare financial paperwork such as purchase orders, payment requisitions etc.
  • Assist with financial claims.
  • Provide occasional foyer cover as required.

Essential Criteria

  • Knowledge/Experience of the Windows Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel).
  • Proven interest in administrative and financial procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within set timeframes.
  • Willingness to undertake in-service training (such as IT Skills, Financial Skills, Health & Safety, Reception Skills etc).

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in an administrative or financial role.

Benefits

  • Applicants must be between 16 – 65 years of age and receiving a working age benefit
  • Applicants can get up to 25 hours a week for six months at the National Minimum Wage
