The intern programme at YouthAction NI provides “first job” opportunities for young people who are not in employment, education or training. Interns are employed in positions across all departments of the organisation, including finance, administration, theatre and media.
Each paid internship lasts 6 months, and our interns receive on the job training, external training and career mentorship. Our interns gain valuable skills, confidence and experience, and our work placement mentor helps ensure that everyone has a path into education or employment after completing their internship.
100% of our interns to date have progressed into further employment or training.
An outstanding space that is similar to fellow theatres like the Naughton Studio Lyric, the Baby Grand in the Grand Opera House Belfast. This dynamic theatre space features floor to ceiling mirrors, professional standard lighting and sound and adjustable seating that can fulfil almost all theatrical requirements. The theatre is a 'black box’ space that can transform into almost all theatre styles, making it suitable for full scale productions (seating 100), conferences (150 capacity), events, lectures, movie nights (large screen), presentations festivals.
