Rainbow Factory

What’s Rainbow all about?

The Rainbow Factory School of Performing Arts was launched by YouthAction Northern Ireland in March 1990. It continues to be seen as one of the largest, most exciting and innovative part-time Performing Arts projects to be established in Northern Ireland and is the cornerstone of our Youth Arts Programme.

Now in its 20th year the project has a reputation to be truly proud of, as it continues to make dreams for many of its members.

We currently run 22 weekly classes in dance, drama, technical theatre, and drumming. We also have over 400 young people attending every week in our bases in Belfast and Ballymena.

As well as taking part in the weekly classes members can through in-house auditions be involved in a full range of other experiences and performance opportunities .

Members are supported to their reach full potential personally, artistically and socially. To do this they are encouraged to develop their individual skills, not only as performers but for many, as facilitators, producers and peer educators.

The Rainbow Factory has it's own dedicated website! Click on the logo below to go to the site.
