Young Male Volunteer Scheme

Who is it for?

The Young Male Volunteer Scheme is a partnership between YouthAction NI and young men aged between 16 and 25 who are involved or interested in the issues that impact on young men.

The Young Male Volunteer Scheme aims to:

  • Increase young men’s understanding of masculinity
  • Increase young men's skills for employment
  • Increase young men's mental and physical well being
  • Increase young men's engagement with others from different cultural traditions
  • Reduce young men's violent behaviour and increase techniques for avoiding conflict
  • Create a better understanding of young men as positive role models
