GET SET for work

Youth Employability Project

GET SET for Work is a collaborative, voluntary youth sector and private sector partnership, which uses a youth work approach to GET young people SET for making a positive and sustained transition into employment, mainstream training or education. It is a regional youth employability project which will target and train 810 rural/urban young people 16-24 years who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) from across 4 regions of high need - Newry/Mourne/Down Armagh Fermanagh and North/West/East Belfast. 6 key initiatives with the project include:

GET Started

Builds skills through personal development activities, qualifications and work experience.

Youth Volunteering

Builds skills through youth leadership qualifications and volunteering opportunities in local communities.

Moving On

Young mothers employability programme.

Paid trainee jobs

6 month paid job opportunities on growth industries.

Get Set to Go

Employability workshops led by our business partners.

Youth Fringe events

Youth led events to give a voice to young people who are not in employment, education and training.

GET SET for Work is part financed by European Social Fund, Department for the Economy, Newry, Mourne & Down District Council, Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon District Council, Fermanagh & Omagh District Council and the Henry Smith Charity.
