Area Based Strategy

Get Set For Work

GET SET will build the skills of 810 rural and urban young people from areas of high social and economic disadvantage in 4 regions across Northern Ireland including Fermanagh Armagh and Banbridge Newry, Mourne and Down and East, North and West Belfast through key programmes and activities from our 5 regional bases.

In partnership with employers, it will meet assessed needs of ‘hard to reach’ local young people and the economy by tackling the barriers that young people have and building their skills, qualifications and personal attributes for living, learning and work.

We will deliver a range of high quality, 12 week structured employability programmes based in local communities which will include: building young people’s aptitudes and attitudes for work, providing industry relevant qualifications, structured work experience with local employers and businesses, volunteering opportunities in local communities and employer led employability skills workshops.

The programme will run across Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon District Council and Newry Mourne and Down District Council Area.
